About IGIM

Recognizing that the fastest way to unlock the power of an organization is through innovation, the College of Business Administration at Northeastern University along with the School of Law and the Center for Labor Market Studies has established the Institute for Global Innovation Management (IGIM). Innovation increasingly is taking place in a global arena and across borders. Companies need people with the skills to manage global innovation networks and the technology to support these networks. The Institute is the home for applied, practice-oriented research on understanding and improving the competitiveness of companies in the new global knowledge economy. It combines an integrated program of research, education and outreach activities to communicate with academic audiences, students and corporations.

The Institute is an internationally recognized research center for developing effective approaches and solutions to global innovation management and for the development and dissemination of teaching materials concerning the global challenges facing technology intensive companies.

The Institute works closely and cooperatively with companies to define, develop and implement an integrated, interdisciplinary research program that investigates important questions of innovation and knowledge transfer among dispersed organizational and human resources. Members of the Institute provide a unique cross-functional, multi-dimensional perspective on the issues of global innovation through research and knowledge sharing.

The Institute for Global Innovation Management offers a variety of ways for scholars and business leaders to take advantage of its research.
