Nicholas Athanassiou, Associate Professor, General Management

Nicholas Athanassiou joined Northeastern University’s College of Business faculty in 1995. Between 1974 and 1990 he held a number of senior executive positions in the United States, Japan, E. Asia, Europe, and the Middle East with KFC International, and Heublein, Inc. He has research interest in international business strategy, with a focus on the international business capabilities of top management teams, global innovation management processes, global teams, and family business founders and strategy. Much of his research draws on social network analysis concepts. He holds a BS degree from the Naval Academy of Greece, an MS from Georgia Institute of Technology, and an MBA from University of Michigan. He earned the Ph.D. in international business and strategy from University of South Carolina in 1995.

Dr. Athanassiou teaches courses in Global Management, Business Policy and Cultural Aspects of International Business.
