The College of Business Administration offers
executive-level management programs custom-designed to meet the specific
needs of individual companies. Many of these international companies
rely on Northeastern University to provide high-level management with
the tools necessary to compete in a rapidly changing global economy.
Examples of such companies include the following:

The MathWorks -- Nearly two dozen of the company's top managers
recently completed a two-year program based, to a large extent, on the
College's very successful High Tech MBA Program. A second group of
nearly 30 managers is now mid-way through the program, and is scheduled
to complete it in June of 2003. The MathWorks is the developer of highly
sophisticated mathematical software products, and does business
throughout the world. The program involved 8 modules -- each presented
in three one day sessions -- on topics ranging from marketing in the
technology sector, to new product development, and legal issues
(especially intellectual property issues) in technology-intensive
companies.

BAE Systems - The College is providing a weeklong Executive Development
Institute for this Nashua, New Hampshire division of this international
defense contractor. The weeklong program is delivered at our Warren
Conference Center in Ashland, Massachusetts, and focuses on strategic
issues, with a particular emphasis on the defense industry. The program,
which was offered for the first time in January of this year, was
originally intended for top level managers in the Nashua area. BAE
Systems now plans to offer the Institute to all top managers throughout
the country.

The Northeastern
University Case Series has been created and developed through the
support of an endowment by Darla and Frederick Brodsky. Cases are
registered in Ivey Publishing’s catalog and on-line ordering system of
almost 2000 business cases. A part of the Ivey Business School, which is
the second largest producer of business case studies in the world, Ivey
Publishing markets and distributes the Northeastern cases worldwide.
The majority of cases in the Northeastern series deal
with international business issues and/or technology intensive
companies. Below is a list of cases and abstracts (by clicking on the
title you will be redirected to the abstract on the Ivey Publishing
site). Inspection copies and orders for cases can be obtained by
